Once the rowdiest and most dangerous street in all of Elsewhere, Lamplight Alley was transformed when a wealthy young doctor took up residence. In a swift maneuver he purchased and tore down the gambling dens, convincing the lawkeepers to enact a strict curfew that began at 11 o'clock. Whispers soon spread of strange rituals performed in the streets in the dead of night, and writhing shapes in sheets wheeled from door to door. The doctor has since passed on; the curfew is no longer in place, but the once bawdy street remains an eerie shadow of its former self.
